Terms of Participation

I understand that my participation involves a degree of risk. However, I confirm that neither the event organisers nor the main event sponsor Red Bull GmbH (“Red Bull”) nor any of its related companies is to be blamed if I get injured. I am in possession of a valid personal liability insurance that covers my participation. If I cause damage to anyone else or their property, I will take the blame and I will make sure that the event organisers, main event sponsor Red Bull GmbH or any of its related companies will not incur any damage in this regard.

I agree to comply with the organisers rules of competition and safety for my own good and everybody else’s. I have checked my equipment which is in good working order, properly maintained and suitable for the event and I am aware that I will only be allowed to take part after reading and understanding and agreeing to the regulations contained in the Romaniacs registration | the Romaniacs Prolog regulations and the Romaniacs event regulations and participating at every days competitor briefing. My participation may at any time be refused by the event organisers.

The event organisers, Red Bull or such third parties as they may authorised from time to time will be entitled to capture and use audio recordings, video recordings and photographs from the Event and to use my name, image, voice, appearance, performance and biographical material for any purpose (be it commercial, promotional or otherwise) in all media, forever. The event organisers and Red Bull will be enabled to use, broadcast, screen, display, reproduce and/or make available to the public the material in any and all media, including but not limited to radio, television, cinemas, events, data carriers and the worldwide web. The event organisers and Red Bull will be entitled to make any alterations, intermissions, cuts or other modification in and to the material and to use such altered material without restrictions, also including onboard filmed materials by the participants which rights also are granted to the organisers and Red Bull. Furthermore, the organisers and Red Bull are allowed to transfer the granted rights to any third party. I know that I do not have the rights to approve any of the material. I understand that I might not be named as a participant in the Event and do not expect to gain financially from my appearance in any Event related material.

I understand that as a competitor of Red Bull Romaniacs I need to expect to find 'traffic' or unexpected obstacles or dangerous sections on the entire race route. Unexpected obstacles or dangerous sections can be caused, but not limited to, terrain alternation, weather changes, floods, rising water levels or rain. 'Traffic' can be people, farm animals, domestic pets, wild animals, spectators, and all types of motor vehicles. It is my responsibility as a competitor to ensure that I am driving with due care and attention to avoid any possible collisions. It is my responsibility to adjust my speed to the difficulty and characteristic of the terrain and or racetrack and I might even have to walk my bike if riding seems to be of a high risk. I confirm I will take the full responsibility of my life and my health if I decide to continue the race when the conditions are not suited for racing because of critical conditions such as lightning, flooding, or similar dangers.

I agree to these Terms of participation. By participating in this event, I agree that my personal data processed in the course of this event can be used by the event organisers for the purpose of the Event.
I agree to receive DURING event information and Event news reports from our media team.
