Frequently asked questions (F.A.Q)
1. Can I get through Red Bull Romaniacs without a service car and crew?
Yes, assuming that you can provide service for your own motorbike in the evening.
Additionally, you will be given a supply of Red Bull and water at re-fueling stops. These services are included in the participation fee.
There is also the option to buy additional services, to save you more work after exhausting long days in the saddle. Believe us: You will need all the minutes of sleep you can get.
2. How well-trained must I be in order to finish the competition?
You should feel comfortable on the single trails and train your body to endure five days of competition. On the other hand you don’t have to be a world champion, because the competition’s length needs endurance, safe driving and technique, rather than speed.
3. Is a Roadbook or a trip master necessary?A Roadbook is not mandatory.
A trip master does, however, provide an advantage because it helps determine your geographical placement and your mileage, so computing your speed and establishing your daily strategy will become easier.
Considering that certain parts of the track take place throughout clear peaks where, in unfavourable conditions, visibility is very reduced, having a GPS device is mandatory. The organisers will ensure the uploading of the competition tracks onto the GPS devices.
Read the official regulations (5.6 and 5.7) for more information regarding GPS navigation.
