General Info

We are getting ready for the 6th edition of the Rally as we speak!

In order to take advantage of cooler summer weather, the days of 15th through to the 19th of August 2009 have been chosen to host the competition.

We took into account your opinions as follows:

  • The hottest motorcycle event we were part of” (EVERYBODY)
  • 10 hours of Hard Enduro is too much for one day. We’d like less hours per day” (Competitors)
  • Shorter lengths”(Competitors)
  • Give us at least 5 hours of sleep”(Organizing Staff)

For the 2009 edition, we want to keep in mind these requests.

This year’s competition will take place in and around Sibiu with one overnight bivoac in Petrosani.

Sibiu was the 2007 European Capital of Culture.

 Martin and the rally track managers have new Hard Enduro challenges in store this year as well, through areas of Romania you’ve never thought possible of exploring by motorbikes.

These new challenges begin with the Prologue, which will take place Saturday, August 15th 2009, followed by the four days of Hard Enduro on extraordinary tracks all the way to the mountain tops.

The Prologue

Andy Fazekas and the Sibiu Crazy-Bike Motor Club will be preparing once again the course and obstacles within the Sibiu town center. This task will unfold on an artificially prepared circuit upon the main street of Sibiu.

The media and the spectators will be there to watch and follow this awesome show. This day’s classification will determine the start positions for the first day of the rally.

Classes

  • Professional class – (single) for riders with experience in international competitions;
  • Single Expert Class - (single) For past Red Bull Romaniac competitors or riders who have competed in the Expert class in extreme competitions
  • Expert class – (teams of 2) for riders with experience in national competitions; same track as single expert.
  • Hobby class – (teams of 2-3) unlike the Expert class, this class's track is shorter and easier, but endurance and experience are a must in order to reach the finish line;
  • Tourist class – (teams of 2-3) short tracks with low-level difficulty, for enduro riders who want to taste the special Red Bull Romaniacs atmosphere but don't want the hassle to stay in the ranking list or compete in the prolog.
