Austrian rider Dieter Happ came to Sibiu with a very special team: his wife Rosi and the boys Marvin and Björn. "This is some kind of holidays for us", Dieter says, "it's wonderful to come back from competitive riding and to see my boys. A good start into the relaxing-phase."

Darryl Curtis blazes through today's stage (17/08/2009 15:21:54 , GMT+3 | präserl/enduroguru)
"I tried to ride with Darryl, but I couldn't hold on for long . Darryl was just going flat out for most of the time!" This statement comes from no other than Husaberg rider Dieter Happ, who is himself well known as one of the fastest guys around. The South African KTM factory rider seems to realy enjoy today's stage, and we're pretty sure that Darryl carries his ever sympathic smile under his helmet for most of the day.

First Pros in the Finish (17/08/2009 14:49:45 , GMT+3 | c.panny/der vierte)
Xavier Galindo, Chris Birch and Andi Lettenbichler were chasing Cyril Despres with a minor gap from the Service Point to the finish. It's been a slightly faster stage than yesterday, with some nice special sections, such as the almost "classic swamp" in it.
Cyril Despres said he's been in the finish together with Xavi, while Birch and Letti got slightly behind in the last uphill-climb before the finish, with a difference of no more than 2-3 minutes from 1st to 4th.

Lonely Rider (17/08/2009 14:47:02 , GMT+3 | c.panny/der vierte)
Manuel Gyenes rides alone. He takes a short pause to clean his gogles. "A good day without real problems", he says. Gyenes passes only minutes after the pro-riders Dieter Happ and Erich Brandauer. These two are going really flatout trough the section. Their goal for today must be the Top-Ten in the overall-ranking.
