Sibiu, Romania, Monday 21 July - The sunny streets of Sibiu burst into action with the impressive Nations Ride through the historical squares and unique back streets of this former cultural capital of Europe.
Sixty three nations were carrying their countries flag aboard their motorcycles, there were nine different brands of adventure motorcycles, four brands of eMotos and the strong purr of the familiar enduro bikes being led by Martin Freinademetz, Romaniacs founder and Andy Fazekas, Prolog Director. The riding force convened at the site of the infamous In-city Prolog on the Bulevardul Coposu.
2025 Nations Parade
Sixteen man-made obstacles consisting of over 100 tons of rocks, logs, giant tires, metal and concrete were required to construct the 2025 Prolog. The track is 350 meters long and a total lap distance of 700 meters. Obstacles varying in size and technicality but the main description this year being “flowy”. The overall goal was to design a track that is less technical than the previous five years and focuses on good flow and speed.

The Gold competitors took to the obstacles as if they were already in race mode, there did not appear to be any surprises for them, resulting in a smooth practice run. Gold competitors completed 15 minutes of lapping the track. The test laps were under the scrutiny of Andy Fazekas who was getting his first impressions of the overall flow and functionality of his design efforts, no potential hook ups or traps were evident.
The most likely crowd pleaser will be the consecutive ramps where the competitors who chose to hit the jumps will be able to gain a lot of ground on those who opt to go around them.

The Press Conference featured Graham Jarvis who is being honoured at this year's Game Changer for all that he has done for the sport of hard enduro. Graham boasts a legendary 7 Romaniacs victories, he sat alongside his closest contender, Mani Lettenbichler, who already has 5 victories at the young age of 27 years old. Triumph team mates Jonny Walker (GBR), 2 time Gold Class winner and Sam Sunderland (GBR), two-time Dakar Rally winner both competing in Adventure Class this year on their Tiger 900’s, Ultimate and Lite respectively. The two discussed their strategies and goals in this new Romaniacs category. The Gold competitors along with other well known competitors were all present for interviews and meet and greet autograph signing which was well attended by fans and lots of families.
Possibly the most pleasant surprise at DEMOmaniacs was the birthday cake that exploded with confetti presented to Graham Jarvis which was washed down with champagne, a testament to the respect his fellow riders have for him.
