Sibiu, Romania. Monday 22 September - The opening of event registration marks the very first stage of the Red Bull Romaniacs adventure. On October 1, 2025 at 12:00 (EEST), the race to secure a place in the 2026 “UNSTOPPABLE” Edition 23 officially begins. Riders from across the globe will once again have the chance to claim their entry into one of the most prestigious and demanding hard enduro rallies.

Driven by the success of the Ultimate and Lite Adventure Classes in the 2025 Game Changer edition Red Bull Romaniacs is now introducing the new Core Class into the Adventure category. It is designed to bridge the gap between the highly demanding Adventure Ultimate Class and the less challenging Adventure Lite Class. The Adventure Ultimate Class will feature more challenging terrain in 2026 while the Adventure Lite will be slightly “softer”.

The Adventure Core Class is aimed at the intermediate Adventure bike competitors and can be described as a stepping stone for competitors who want to challenge themselves in some technical singletrack sections and classic rallye adventure tracks while piloting some of the most exciting terrain on the planet. For some experienced Adventure bike competitors, the Core Class may be a starting point with the hope one day to move into the top Adventure Ultimate Class.

“Romaniacs is more than just a race – it’s an experience that lasts a lifetime,” says founder Martin Freinademetz. “Every competitor who lines up in Sibiu dreams of crossing the finish line, it’s a journey that stays with all of them forever. Once a competitor has registered the training should begin. Endurance, technical skills, and sheer determination will be put to the test during the five days. Entry spots are taken fast so we recommend early registration. We are excited to introduce a new Adventure bike Core Class and offer even more diversity of terrain in 2026”.

All ten classes in the Red Bull Romaniacs will be dealt healthy amounts of unforgiving Romaniacs style terrain, there are no “walk - in - the - park” tracks, and each class is designed to push the competitors to their maximum during the five day event. It is important to review the class descriptions before registering to compete.

Red Bull Romaniacs is widely regarded as the world’s toughest, longest extreme hard enduro rallye. Held annually in and around Sibiu, Romania. It challenges competitors through brutal off-road terrain, featuring treacherous climbs and descents in the stunning Southern Carpathian Mountains.The five day event kicks off with the Opening Ceremony which includes the Nations Parade and professional competitors testing the legendary In-city Prolog. Day one In-City Prolog is followed by four Offroad Days consisting of 100+ Kilometers per day. The 2025 edition welcomed 63 world nations to Sibiu and again brought together the hard enduro community for the Edition 22.
