Sibiu, Romania, 17 July 2025 - There is an air of excitement and anticipation as the Red Bull Romaniacs countdown is on. The Edition 22, Game Changer is only five days away and world enduro riders from 63 nations are already starting to arrive in Sibiu.

Promising to be the most diverse as well as unique Hard Enduro Rallye on the planet, the Game Changer Edition 22 will exceed expectations this year. Descending upon this enduro utopia will be a full line up of the worlds top extreme hard enduro competitors, hundreds of amateur competitors and an unprecedented number of adventure bike brands all converging at the start line of this iconic event.

Pol Tarres (ESP), Silver Class Offroad Day 1, 2024

Exciting news is the announcement of British rider Sam Sunderland coming out of race retirement to compete in the Adventure Lite Class on his Triumph Tiger 900. Sunderland, two time Dakar Rally winner, amongst a long list of achievements, will be accompanying his Triumph team member Jonny Walker (GBR), two time Romaniacs winner, now trying his luck in the Adventure Ultimate Class; a big change for Walker who has competed in the Gold Class at Romaniacs since 2012 and also holds Superenduro World Championships and EnduroCross titles.

The legendary list goes on in the new Adventure Ultimate Class with Johnny Aubert (FRA), two time World Enduro Champion (2008, 2009) and two time ISDE winner (2010) will be competing on his KTM 890 Adv Rally twin cylinder. Gerhard Forster (DEU) who placed second at Romaniacs twice (2007 and 2008) will bring with him some “big bike” experience of the Romaniacs terrain having also competed in 2017 on his BMW.

Pol Tarres (ESP, Ténéré) has opted to compete in the Adventure Ultimate Class instead of Silver Class due to an injury, last year he finished Silver Class in P60, he will be bringing with him a vast amount of experience of racing in the Carpathian Mountains. Kevin Gallas (DEU) will be hoping to retain his title from 2024 in the Bronze Class on his Ténéré 700.

Romanian Enduro champion Andrea Goga and Dutch competitor Patty Vinagre De Freitas will be the only two brave female competitors in the Adventure Lite Class.

An amazing battle of the bike brands will unfold over the course of the five day Rallye. Brands which will be challenging the Romanian tracks are CFMOTO, Triumph, Yamaha, BMW, KTM, Ducati, Husqvarna, Aprilia and Kove. This is a historic leap forward in terms of bringing a more diverse range of manufacturers onto the Hard Enduro Adventure Rallye scene and offers inspiration for future motorcycle development.

Rigor Rico (BRA), Gold Class Offroad Day 3, 2024

The Game Changer Edition, honouring the hard enduro legend Graham Jarvis and his contribution to the sport, will have a packed line up of elite athletes. Mani Lettenbichler (DEU, KTM) will be attempting to defend his title and be one race closer to catching up with Jarvis’ record 7 titles, if Lettenbichler can score the victory he will hold 6 titles. Graham Jarvis (GBR) will be giving it his all, once again up against athletes half his age. Team mates Teo Kabakchiev (BUL, Sherco) and Mario Roman (ESP, Sherco) will both be hungry for the win being all too familiar with the taste of placing second and third. Billy Bolt (GBR, Husqvarna), Alfredo Gomez (ESP, Beta), Michael Walkner (AUT, GasGas), Matthew Green (ZAF) and the young upcoming Mitch Brightmore (GBR) who finished an outstanding P6 in 2024 are to name a few of the elite level competitors in Gold Class. The Gold Class features a good number of new names willing to take on the challenge and continue to push the sport to new heights.

Once again LEATT LIVEmaniacs will bring live transmissions of the action from the Opening ceremony, the In City Prolog and the four Offroad Days, presenting viewers with a close up, real time perspective of the extreme battles that are unfolding in some of the toughest enduro terrain.
