What tools? Inner tubes? Air pumps?
Everyone competing MUST carry tools for making adjustments - screwdrivers, allen keys, spanners for tightening bolts and any specialist tools needed for their motorcycle. Read Romaniacs event regulations section 5. Safety equipment | Rescue | Motorcycle/ eMoto assistance For Adventure motorcycle there are 3 tyre / wheel combinations 1) Tubeless tires - a classic ''tubless tyre repair kit'' and an 'electic air pump' or 'soda bottle cartridges airpump' device is needed. (a manual bicycle airpump is not effective in sealing tubless tyres) 2) Inner Tubes fitted inside the tyres. Top Tip: carry a spare 19" inner tube, it can be used in the front(21'') or rear(17" or 18") wheel, this saves carrying 2 inner tubes ! wheel removal tools , tyre changing levers and an 'electric air pump' or 'manual bicycle style pump' or 'soda bottle cartridges air pump' device.need to be carried. 3) Specialist "enduro wheels" have been fitted. - Either A or B A} Nuetech Gen 2 system, if with added mousses - then no tyre removal tools carrying is essential B) Specialist enduro style wheels that allow mousses to be fitted - then no tyre removal tools carrying is essential
NOTE: It is always worth carrying WHEEL removal tools, can be essential if a competitor has to remove fence wire, jammed in pieces of wood, or to allow competitors to fix other mechanical issues related to brake pads, brake discs, chain, chain sprockets or the wheels.
