Sibiu, Romania. October 2, 2026 – Three hundred competitors signed up in the first hour of registrations for the 2027 Red Bull Romaniacs – a clear signal that competitors are already hungry for the 2027 Edition.
The extraordinary rush of registrations in the opening hour underlines the global reputation, enduring appeal and huge demand for the world’s toughest Hard Enduro Rallye. Competitors from across Europe, led by Great Britain, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, were joined by competitors from as far afield as Ecuador, Malaysia and Peru – demonstrating the truly international reach of Red Bull Romaniacs and the ambition of riders from around the globe to earn their place on the start line in Sibiu.
With the “UNTAMED” Edition 24 taking place from 27–31 July 2027, competitors planning to take on the legendary Red Bull Romaniacs challenge are urged to secure their place early. Bronze Class traditionally sells out first, if competitors are considering taking on the challenge they are strongly advised to register early rather than risk missing out on a starting place.
Red Bull Romaniacs founder, Martin Fernademetz: “Seeing 300 competitors register in the first hour tells us how much this race means to people. They know it will demand everything they have, and they still want to be part of it. That spirit is what makes Romaniacs UNTAMED. For 2027, we're giving Adventure riders more choice and supporting young Hard Enduro talent, while keeping the challenge worthy of the Romaniacs name”
A New Level of Adventure
The Untamed Edition 24 introduces the new Adventure Wild Class, expanding the Adventure Rallye line-up. Now with four Adventure classes alongside five Hard Enduro classes and two eMoto classes, Edition 24 offers eleven classes and three different categories to test the limits.
Adventure Lite remains the most accessible option, while Core steps up the technical challenge with single trails, steep climbs and descents and enduro-style terrain.
Then comes Wild – the new class sitting at the level of the former 2026 Ultimate. It will feature hard enduro sections, technical single trails, rocks, roots and steep terrain.
The absolute top tier is the revamped Ultimate – a class reserved for the toughest of the tough. Designed for professional riders, factory teams and highly experienced adventure riders who are capable of handling a large adventure bike in extremely hard enduro terrain.
The Adventure category is open to motorcycles with a minimum of two cylinders.
Young riders initiative:
In an initiative designed to help and support young talent and the future of Hard Enduro, Red Bull Romaniacs is offering a 50% discount on the 2027 entry fee to competitors under the age of 21 who compete in Gold in 2027 or who finished in the top 25 of Silver in 2026. The initiative gives ambitious young competitors and upcoming talent greater access to one of the sport’s toughest challenges and the opportunity to gain experience alongside the world’s best.
The message for 2027 is: choose your level, register before the places are gone and prepare for the challenge of a lifetime.
